Family Health Services strives to provide high-quality, culturally sensitive family planning services to our patients, as it is integral part of overall good health for both men and women. With Title X grant funding, FHS is able to provide these services at a low cost or $0 cost to low-income, under-insured and uninsured individuals who may otherwise lack access to health care.
Information about the Title X grant Funding:
Title X of the Public Health Service Act is the cornerstone of the federal domestic family- planning program: It is the only federal program exclusively dedicated to family planning and reproductive-health services.
Title X family-planning program services include:
- pregnancy testing, pre-conception and post-contraceptive counseling
- screening for cervical and breast cancer
- testing and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
- screening for HIV/AIDS
- health education
- referrals for health and social services
